Anna Delvey’s Sports Ankle Monitor on Runway at New York Fashion Week
Anna Delvey is strutting her stuff and sporting some unusual accessories.
On Sunday, Feb. 9, the star was captured walking the runway at New York Fashion Week. In a video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Delvey, born Anna Sorokin, 34, opened the Elena Velez show. She wore a brown leather pencil skirt dress from the brand with ruffled shoulder detailing. Her ankle monitor was also clearly visible and she sported a stylish updo and nude pumps.
In April 2019, Delvey was found guilty of eight charges, including attempted grand larceny in the first degree, after posing as a wealthy heiress and scamming numerous socialites. That May, Delvey was sentenced to four to 12 years in state prison, fined $24,000 and ordered to pay restitution of about $199,000.

On Oct. 5, 2022, Delvey was granted release from an ICE facility in Orange County, N.Y., Bloomberg reported. As of February 2024, she remained under house arrest in the East Village in N.Y.C., according to the Daily Mail. In being approved to appear on season 33 of Dancing With the Stars, Delvey was ordered to wear an ankle monitor which she has since made part of her signature style.

“We wanted to do a departure from the ankle bracelet thing, because with every outfit before, we kind of tried to make the ankle bracelet the centerpiece and it was a focus,” she said after walking at the SHAO show.

Delvey — whose name grew in popularity and notoriety following the 2022 release of Netflix’s true-crime miniseries Inventing Anna — also told PEOPLE that she had been trying to switch to a watch version of her ankle monitor which would be less conspicuous but it had not been approved yet.
“Every time I come out, it doesn’t matter what I wear, I’m ‘sporting’ or ‘flaunting’ my ankle bracelet, even though I don’t have a choice but to wear it,” she said. “And I’m not holding onto it by any means. I can’t help it.”
